KETO CRISPY BACON & CHEESE WAFFLES

Spread the love

Now it’s time to make some savory waffles starting with Bacon & Cheese. Following this, I will show you how to make other savory waffles such as pizza waffles, spinach and feta cheese etc.

These Keto Bacon & Cheese waffles are so flavorful, crispy and delicious. They make a great meal, side or simply just enjoy it with a cup of coffee. I actually reheated a slice in my mini toaster oven yesterday and it became so crispy and I enjoyed it with a cup of coffee – so good !

DRY INGREDIENTS

WET INGREDIENTS

OTHER INGREDIENTS

  • 120 g bacon
  • 120 g Shredded Cheese
  • 27 g choped spring onions

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix all the dry ingredients until well combined.
  • Add the wet ingredients and mix until the batter is thick and smooth.
  • Add the bacon, cheese, spring onions and mix until well combined.
  • Preheat the waffle maker and grease it to avoid sticking. Of course, greasing is not necessary if your waffle maker has a strong non-stick function.
  • Spoon the batter onto the center of the waffle maker, close and cook for about 10 mins.
  • Cool the cooked waffles on a wire rack to prevent the steam from softening the waffles.
  • This recipe makes about 10 to 12 waffles depending on the size. Mine came up to 11 waffles.
  • Enjoy these crispy waffles as a meal, side or simply with a cup of coffee.
  • To crisp up the waffles, just toast them in a mini toaster oven.
  • These waffles can be refrigerated for up to a week and frozen for months.NOTE

Notes

NOTE: Even though you can use almond flour, a combination of almond and coconut flour or just coconut flour, the level of crispiness varies as follows ; Almond flour = the crispiest Almond and coconut flour = moderately crispy Coconut flour = the least crispy
