This recipe is inspired by my sister after she saw a food travel video featuring street food on the internet. It looked so good seeing how they just tear the bread and dip into the ooey gooey goodness of the molten cheese, egg yolk and butter. It is reminiscent of pizza but not quite the same.

Khachapuri is a traditional Georgian dish of cheese filled bread which is eaten as a meal. It is considered as one of Georgia’s national comfort food dishes. It originated from sailors so the shape represent a boat, molten cheese represent the sea and egg yolk represent the sun and good weather for the sailors.
