Seaweed is a plant vegetable that can extract minerals from seawater and pull them into the plant. Roasted seaweed is a tasty little dehydrated wafer of seaweed that provides a good amount of nutrition. Benefits of roasted seaweed:
- Trace minerals (iodine, selenium, zinc, iron, and a lot more)
- Vitamins
- Amino acids
- DHA/EPA (if you’re a vegetarian, seaweed is a great source of this)
- Just be sure to find organic seaweed that comes from a clean environment. Also, if you have a small child, you can give them a little bit of seaweed, but they shouldn’t have a lot.
